Brooke Beasley - Bailey Middle School
Ms. Beasley is excited to be beginning her sixth year as the Director of the Bailey Middle School Choir Program! A native Austinite, Ms. Beasley attended both Bailey Middle School and James Bowie High School, where she was very active in the Choral Program as well as the Dance Program and Silver Stars. Ms. Beasley is an active member in the choral music scene in Austin, singing in ensembles as well as theater and dance performances since childhood. She is a member of the Conspirare Symphonic Choir under the direction of Craig Hella Johnson as well as a dancer at Pivotal Academy of Dance in Buda. Ms. Beasley holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Choral Music Education and is an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association.

Brad Heckler - Diane Gorzycki Middle School
Mr. Heckler is now in his 23rd year teaching as the Director of Choirs at Diane Gorzycki Middle School. During his career he has taught all levels from Elementary to High School both piano and choir. A native of Big Spring, TX, Mr. Heckler was no stranger to success as a choral musician during his time in high school, he placed First Chair in the All-State Mixed Choir and was a multiple First Division earner at the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest. As a veteran teacher, Mr. Heckler enjoys supporting his colleagues in the area and has served as Region Vocal Division Coordinator, host for multiple UIL and TMEA events for the Region, accompanist and coordinator for the AISD Pre-UIL Festival, Collaborator for the AISD Summer Musical, and for fifteen years has helped to record the preparation tracks for the middle school students of Region 18. Choirs under his direction have earned First Division ratings at the UIL Concert and Sight-Reading assessment 20 years in a row earning over 21 Sweepstakes Awards. Brad has also served as a church musician in multiple parishes all over the Austin area for many years, and is currently a Section Leader for the First United Methodist Church in Austin, TX. Mr. Heckler holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Angelo State University and is an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Music Adjudicators Association where-in he is an active adjudicator for UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contests all over the state.
